There are several gorgeous heads of cabbage in my home garden that I'd like to try making sauerkraut with, but I've never done it before. Anyone ever tried it?
I've thought about making sauerkraut, and it seems straightforward. But I've heard it outgasses, so I wouldn't do it unless I had an outdoor location to ferment it in.
